From the first hole on an empty block to the last inspection before the pour: site classifications to AS 2870, geotechnical investigations, assessments, construction phase support and design parameters. Site classifications start from $800 + GST, with reports as soon as 2 business days from fieldwork. Investigations, assessments and inspections are quoted per site, with residential boreholes sized to the base of excavation plus one to two metres.

One 4WD-mounted rig, engineer operated, for borehole drilling and NMLC rock coring across metro and regional New South Wales. Where the rig cannot get in, motorised hand augers carry through a doorway or down a side passage, and the engineer logs the hole either way. Builders, consultancies and bigger firms book the rig as subcontract capacity.

What the ground is carrying: contaminated land investigations (PSI and DSI), acid sulfate soils, waste classification and soil testing, sampled by the crew that drills it and tested through NATA-accredited laboratories. Where council has flagged the land for contamination, send its wording with the address and the programme is scoped to it rather than guessed.

The disciplines around the ground: utility location and GPR, dilapidation reports, surveying, and structural, civil and hydraulic engineering, coordinated through partners and delivered through one point of contact. If the project does not yet have a structural engineer, SFGEO introduces Sydney firms it works with regularly.

Engineer-supervised coring of slabs, pavements and penetrations, logged, verified and strength-tested when the question needs a number. Coring is $120 + GST per hole with a three-hole minimum per visit. The final fee depends on core size, location, access and time on site: a fixed fee in writing within one business day.
